ModMem by Unrem
Terms of use
These terms govern your use of ModMem, a product of Unrem. By using the app, you agree to them.
Effective: July 29, 2026
The service
ModMem records audio at your direction and helps you organize that audio into transcripts and notes. Automated transcription and generated notes can be incomplete or incorrect. Verify important details against the original audio.
Your responsibility when recording
You may use ModMem only when you have the legal right to record. Recording and consent requirements differ by country, state, and situation. You are responsible for notifying participants and obtaining every consent required by applicable law, workplace policy, school policy, contract, or confidentiality obligation.
Do not use ModMem for covert or unlawful surveillance, harassment, interception, infringement, or recording in a place where recording is prohibited.
Your content
You retain your rights in recordings and notes you create. You are responsible for that content and for keeping your devices and backups secure. The local-only beta does not provide server backup or recovery. Deleting the app or losing a device may permanently delete content that has not been backed up through an Apple service you control.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse the app, attempt to bypass platform privacy indicators or permissions, reverse engineer it where prohibited by law, or use it to violate another person's privacy, intellectual-property rights, or other rights.
No professional advice
Transcripts, summaries, and action items are organizational aids. They are not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
Availability and changes
Features can depend on Apple hardware, operating-system version, language support, available storage, battery, microphone access, and the connection between paired devices. Unrem may change or discontinue beta features.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the beta is provided as available without warranties of uninterrupted operation, perfect transcription, or recovery from every interruption. Unrem is not liable for decisions made without checking generated text, unlawful recording by a user, or loss outside Unrem's reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.
Apple terms
If you obtain ModMem through Apple, Apple's standard licensed application end user license agreement and applicable App Store terms also apply. Apple is not responsible for support for ModMem.
